Daisy Extract - is a skin-lightening agent derived from daisy flowers. It provides activity due to a reduction of melanin
production and promotes even pigmentation in age spots. Daisy influences various pathways involved in melanogenesis. By decreasing the production of Endothelin-1 (ET-1), it reduces the UV-stimulated induction of melanin biosynthesis. In addition, the binding affinity of the melanocyte- stimulating hormone α-MSH to its receptor is decreased and tyrosinase activity as well as melanosome transfer to keratinocytes are reduced.
